There's still plenty of things we can do to help the climate and campaign for change during the lockdown. Here's some ideas:
Citizen's Climate Lobby (UK) campaign for the adoption of the Carbon Fee and Dividend (also known as Climate Income) and provide advice on how people can most effectively lobby their MPs. We have included a version of their template letter, which you can adapt as you wish to send to your own MP.
From WWF and based around World Environment Day which started on June 5th, there are still plenty of online events taking place around the world. From virtual safaris to photo competitions.
To help keep us safe, the government has announced that councils should be creating new cycleways and wider pavements for physical distancing You can help by identifying where these are most needed. See link here

Send a message to the Prime Minister (see email form here) on the climate emergency, or write to The Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (email address: firstname.lastname@example.org) who is also overseeing preparations for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). See here for a letter written to the PM by one of our subscribers which might give you some inspiration.
